Saccharomyces reduces cholesterol effectively
We aimed to compare the effects of nutraceuticals and antibiotic growth promoters on various health aspects of broiler chickens. Over 35 days, 320 one-day-old male chickens were grouped and fed different diets, including a probiotic mixed with Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Our findings showed that the probiotic group notably reduced cholesterol and total lipids while enhancing beneficial bacteria in the gut. Improvements in weight gain and meat quality were also observed. Ultimately, using probiotics like Saccharomyces cerevisiae can be a promising alternative to traditional antibiotics in poultry diets.

Fermented fruits reduce cholesterol levels
We examined how fermented Cerasus humilis fruits, enhanced by Lactobacillus plantarum and Saccharomyces cerevisiae, can help lower high cholesterol levels.

These fermented fruits showed improved properties, such as higher nutrient content and lower sugar levels, compared to their non-fermented counterparts.

In our findings, fermentation effectively reduced cholesterol accumulation and improved gut microbiota. While treatment with these fruits significantly lowered weight gain and oxidative stress, the overall results indicate a promising, yet limited, effect on hyperlipidemia management.

We examined the effects of two strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, along with Kluyveromyces marxianus, isolated from Algerian fruits. These promising yeast strains showed strong probiotic qualities and survived harsh conditions like low pH and bile.

The study revealed a cholesterol reduction of about 33% from both S. cerevisiae strains and an impressive 54.32% from K. marxianus. Although K. marxianus outperformed in terms of cholesterol assimilation, all strains displayed antioxidant potential, making them suitable candidates for innovative functional foods and probiotic applications.

We investigated the effects of postbiotics derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae on cholesterol levels and other health-related activities. The results showed that these compounds can lower cholesterol in a concentration- and pH-dependent manner while also possessing antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

Postbiotics demonstrated promising actions against various pathogens and helped support beneficial gut bacteria. While the cholesterol-lowering effects are notable, further research is necessary to fully understand their potential for human health and related chronic conditions.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae lowers cholesterol
We explored the impact of dietary supplementation with Saccharomyces cerevisiae and bentonite on cholesterol levels in dairy cows during the transition period. In this study involving 24 cows divided into four groups, we measured various blood markers related to liver function and cholesterol. The results showed that cows receiving Saccharomyces cerevisiae had lower cholesterol levels, likely due to reduced lipoprotein concentrations. However, the findings suggested that unless the diet is high in carbohydrates causing rumen acidosis, the benefits of adding these supplements may not justify their use.

This supplement improves intestinal function, boosts immunity, lowers cholesterol levels, and helps prevent cancer. I'm mainly focussed on enhancing my bowel health and immunity. I've eaten oatmeal for its beta-glucan content but found it insufficient. Since starting this supplement, my bowel movements have improved considerably, and I believe it has helped lower my cholesterol levels too.

I purchased beta-glucan to enhance immunity post-HPV infection. The pill is sizeable, with a tolerable odour that vanishes upon swallowing. I take it alongside AHCC on an empty stomach. While continuous intake may stimulate immune responses, I experienced some hives and itchiness and recommend consulting a doctor if adverse symptoms occur. It’s also praised for reducing cholesterol.

Beta-glucan is a water-soluble fibre that aids in lowering bad cholesterol, promoting heart health, stabilising blood sugar in diabetics, potentially fighting cancer, and enhancing immunity. Found in cereals like oats and barley, it offers numerous health benefits. However, it is advisable to increase intake gradually to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort.
